Parent's Bereavement Stories

Would you like to contribute to this page?

Many bereaved parents find it helpful to share their experiences with others and to hear from parents in similar positions to themselves. As part of our grief support, we are building a database of stories, meaningful poems or prose that have helped you or others through the grieving process. These meaningful words offer reassurance, relief from distress, or a much-needed conncection to someone who understands.

The Muse of my Mind

If you didn't know this man... then you seriously needed to, you can ask about him to almost anyone and they will give you the best speech you will ever hear.  He is my inspiration for life and even after all his faults he was the only man I ever truly trusted, he gave me little reason to but he kept my trust and hope alive for all these years.  No one could teach you more about life than this man right here.  Him and my mum are the muse of my mind.  He will literally never be forgotten and people will always love him because he never pretended to be someone he wasn't, he never changed for anyone, and he never treated anyone differently because of a problem they may have had.  He always stood by his beliefs and philosophies, and he always knew how to handle himself when he needed to.  If you have no respect for this man, think again!  In the end he may not have made a wise choice... and for that I will never forgive him, but for the times he made the right choices, I will never forget him.  R.I.P.
