Parent's Bereavement Stories
Would you like to contribute to this page?
Many bereaved parents find it helpful to share their experiences with others and to hear from parents in similar positions to themselves. As part of our grief support, we are building a database of stories, meaningful poems or prose that have helped you or others through the grieving process. These meaningful words offer reassurance, relief from distress, or a much-needed conncection to someone who understands.

A moment of madness
A moment of madness
Our son Adrian was born 21 01 1983. He had a crop of black hair and was just over 6 lb in weight. He was born in the night so when I took him to the ward everyone was keen to meet him. He was born in Taunton, educated at Lancaster university and finally settled in Nottingham. The day he died was the worse day of our lives and such a shock, a trauma that we will forever be haunted by the word, why? He grew up to be a tall good looking young family man and a joy to know.
